Part of the reason I have EVs and skipped the Hybid thing is hybrids have more points of failure. No home charging is a killer though, I would be very unhappy with having to charge at a supercharger daily. I could probably get it done using plug and charge at Wawa and charge for 5 to ten...

I missed early sign up for the MachE and also did not want to foot the bill for a First Edition. This time around I would love to get a Fathom fully kitted out, bugs and all. Any advice on the mechanics of getting a First Edition if offered?

Hmmm, interesting.. Oh, my 12v died this weekend on my 22. It made it approx 3 years and 11 months in the car before giving up the ghost.

Same with my the 3rd door on my 97 F150 and the passenger door on my Tacoma before it. Plastic bits broke over time things has to be rigged.

My 21 MachE had its 12v dies about a year or two ago. One day I had to jump the drink with my Harley battery. Replaced it for a few hundred bucks, no oxed the fittings better than factory as it was showing mild corrosion. My 22 is still going strong but I expect its 12v will die in the next 2...

Bahh , no, door handles are for luddites... Hands full of to go cups and Pizza, hit that button with your pinky and open the door..

5 years on I have had push button doors. On our 21 MachE they can be lazy at times requiring 2 pushes, on our 22 they are flawless. I do not want the return of door handles no more than I want a fuel tank. I would prefer only a button. On the winter testing video I note no door...

I think this is a good guess on the pricing. I expect a big battery AWD for between $36k and $38k. That works for me.

Things I am willing to pay for over MSRP on my Fathom if possible. 2" receiver hitch. Pro Power, Larger battery 300 miles or over. AWD. Full size spare. Keypad entry. Living in Florida I hope they do not shrink the Frunk with a heat pump. I hope the truck can be AWD or RWD if not.
