While I really enjoyed BlueCruise, because the system would disengage somewhat randomly and there's enough debris on the roads, I always kept contact with the wheel.
Lower range can be OK if fast charging is possible (like 60% battery in < 10 min; 50% battery < 5 min would be amazing).
On an average day I'm doing about 60mi round trip. But there are a number of days where I'm pushing 120mi round trip, and occasionally 180mi. And as we know, if you're going...
You get used to it, honestly. I drove a MINI with the large speedo for a while and it was weird only for a little while.
I just hope the display has a Dark Mode like the Mach-E had.
I care about the bed size since a lot of materials I move are 4' wide. The Maverick bed's tailgate entry is about 50" wide IIRC---the internet will tell you the bed max width is 53", but that's beyond the tailgate. The bed height is about 20"; about 18" if you have a tonneau cover.
The Mav's tech (and the Mach-E) works fine, but it means more hard braking incidents. Especially stop-and-go traffic: it technically does the correct acceleration and braking, but that doesn't mean it is comfortable.
With my human eyes I can clearly see 1/2mi down the road there are brake...
BC was great on long trips. The only thing though is the eye detection: the sensors are on the steering column. If you are drinking coffee or water, you have to take quick sips because the 5s timeout is too short. Top-mounted cameras would have been better.
I've come to appreciate the Mav's...
Oh hey. So if Apple Maps is the primary vehicle map system, can it now handle trailer-optimized routing?
I think the F-150 can have trailer towing navigation:
Max range ~300mi is nice because you can do a ~200mi run and know you have extra range to get to a charger should the one you're at be 1) broken or 2) so full you don't want to wait. I had multiple times where I'd show up at a station and it would be a 30min wait or so in a line. It's also...
In my Mach-E RWD standard 71kWh battery pack, I used to get about 3.5mi/kW with daily mixed-use driving, 2.8mi/kWh on the freeway. (Curb weight was 4,394lbs.)
