Have been lurking for awhile, so cool to see this! Hoping to upgrade my 2022 Maverick Hybrid to this if all things look good!

I made a reservation / preordered that back in 2022 when order banks first opened then waited almost a year to get it. Hoping this time things are a lot smoother (and preorders can be done online vs running into a dealer )

Can't wait to see it!

This point seems a little ambiguous. Just to be clear, you're calling this out as an embedded feature separate from phone mirroring, but the truck WILL still support Carplay/Android Auto phone mirroring, right?

I'm more interested in a sedan. And would love it to be called Falcon.

Thank God the name Ranchero was NOT used....needs to stay in the history books. Fathom will take some "getting used to"...but then again, so did Fusion and Focus.....hope Ford is not returning to "name every vehicle with a name that starts with F" .....although, Fusion would be a good name for a UEV based SUV and Focus could return for a UEV based hatchback sedan....

Some things wanted to replace MachE. More range than my Select. More cargo space to enable camping, Factory hitch. Could see myself getting a big battery Fathom...

The name is, mehhhh...

I like it more than ranchero honestly. Fathom is modern, mysterious, and has its own identity. Rancehero was clunkier, and tied to the past.

Plus the name didn't match the styling. Ranchero works on a car shaped ute, something that looks a little more like a maverick, the name doesn't work as well imo.

Holy cow. "Fathom" is such a cool name for this pickup. So stoked at the price, and the hardware consistency across all Fathoms.

I'm in for one pretty much no matter what.

”Fathom" traces back to a nautical unit of measurement, originally defined as the distance between a person's outstretched arms, a fitting metaphor for a truck built to meet people wherever they are in life. Fitting, right?

perhaps being named Fathom, the body without mirrors will be right around 6' wide like the Maverick..

Now here's what we’re holding back, because honestly, a little mystery is fun:
Bed dimensions. Whether there's a second battery option beyond Standard Range, and what that gets you. What that surfboard-out-of-the-bed panel in the flipbook is… Colors.

hopefully, rather than necessarily offering a second battery option, there is a gas powered range extender for easy travel to and through remote areas far from chargers, especially when towing a small trailer..

while it may not be the case, it'd be great if this offers more than just the lower midgate opening (as a patent filing suggested a couple years ago), to potentially have the entire window and rear cab wall open, so one can have plenty of room to comfortably sleep inside the bed with a topper option (ideally with a camping mode that can run a/c or heat all night, regardless of whether plugged in / charging or unplugged), and where one is able to hop back into the driver's seat without exiting the vehicle. i know perhaps i'll need to wait for the UEV van, though this could be a nice alternative until a long range electric van or EREV is available at a similar price point.

As a casual industry observer, I'm totally fascinated by how Ford is expanding the market space covered by the word "truck". They did it with the Maverick, and they're on the way to a million sold by the end of the decade. Now they seem to be pushing the envelope even further.

I wager that Ford has not internally targeted the Fathom at the traditional truck market. I think Fathom is a stealth attack on the SUV/CUV/sedan market.

Thank you Riley for keeping us informed.
I have great interest in the upcoming Fathom. No issue with the chosen name.
Bidirectional charging is a must for me as I want to have back up home or work site power delivery.
I also have interest in the further out F150 eREV. That may suit my needs better. But the new Fathom sounds great so far.
Thank you Ford Motor Company for the low entry price on the Fathom. Even though I would option it out to be in the low to mid 40s.

Hopefully not the same wait time that I had for the '22 Maverick. Interested to see if it shares a lot of the build ideas in the Volvo EX60.

Hopefully more details on the size, performance, packages etc starts coming out soon. I pre-ordered my 2022 Maverick right away when they were announced and I'd live to get in on the ground floor of this one too, but I do still have some "real" truck needs that I want to see. Namely a 5' minimum bed length, some towing capacity options (5k would be nice) and knowing what the range options are going to look like. Honestly if this is just an all electric Maverick, I might be on the fence. 80% of the time my Maverick is great, but every once in a while I wish I had just a little more truck.

This is something entirely new. Although, similar footprint to a Mav.
