True on my order also.
I had a Hard Drop-in Bedliner on the order and that was a late availability item.
So I dropped that from the order and got scheduled the next week.
After I got the Maverick the Hard Drop-in Bedliner was available in January 2022 and I used my Ford Points and got it for...
I Ordered my MY2022 Maverick Hybrid on 8/23/21. it was Scheduled on 9/16/21, Built on 11/29/21, Shipped 11/30/21 and Delivered 12/13/21.
That was less than 4 months from ordering to delivery.

I just checked in the DFW area (https://www.powertochoose.org) and there is only two that do.
TXU has an extremely on peak high rate of 18.4 cents per KWH and Chariot Energy has a One Star rating.
So a hard pass on both.
Question: Is the Ford’s Shelbyville Technical Center that has produced the more than 5,000 large aluminum unicastings going to produce all the unicastings for the Fathom when production starts in late 2027. Or will the production unicastings be produced somewhere else?
I am asking this question...
The way Ford is setting it up the dealerships have to tell Ford what they will sell the Fathom for.
Unless the dealerships in your area collude ahead of time (which is a lawsuit waiting to happen) one or more will price to MSRP.
If they mark it up you will know ahead of ordering and give your...
Same with my dealer (doesn't do markups).
However there are a lot of dealers who do and having the upfront prices known when you send your pre-order to a dealer means you can shop for one who honors MSRP price and ignore those who don't.
There are a number of video's out there (usually Slate...
That is a good thing.
So when pre-ordering begins in early 2027 you will have dealers to choose from and you will know what price they will be selling the Fathom at. No more guessing.
Along with signing up on the Ford Fathom page I contacted my dealership with my interest that I will order the Fathom with them as soon as the order banks open.
I received Ford's response: "You’re on the list." on 8/12/2026.
and from my dealer: "Thanks for reaching out. I have you on my list...
The Expedition is not a true, software-defined vehicle with software that was developed entirely in-house. Many of the systems on the Expedition will require direct communication with multiple suppliers thus either slow updates (and maybe a visit to the dealership) or no update at all.
Here are some of the 48V components available today:
From the Cybertruck design I really hope to see these in the Fathom:
48V Components and Systems
Steer-by-Wire Motors: Large motors driving the steer-by-wire system operate at 48 volts, requiring a quarter of the current of a 12V setup and...
You can jump the Cybertruck that has 48v lithium battery with an external 12V+ power source.
I expect that if the Fathom also has a 48v lithium battery (and I hope it does) then I expect a similar procedure where you can jump start it with a 12v jump pack or jumper cables from a 12v battery.
Don't believe the clickbait!
by Patrick Anderson
There are a couple of articles like this one that are hinting that the Fathom could be delayed. Jim Farley just said it is a "heck of a job" to get it launched on time and on budget. He didn't say anything about it being delayed. It is still on...
Yes clickbait and hyperbole.
Much like the Fathom will have a 51 kWh battery and have a 200 mile or less range on the SR battery.
That 51 kWh battery myth grew legs when it was repeated over and over again as a fact when it was pure made up bull sh*t.
See here: Response from Patrick of the...
