The update on castings and suppy chain confirmations lends credibility to deliveries during third quarter of 2027. 100,000 vehicles in a year delivered is 270 vehicles a day. Allowing for 10% downtime you still have to produce 250 vehicles a day for delivery. If you label it a 2028, which is a given, and stretch out the production window to 18 months, and actually begin building an inventory of finished product in second quarter, the credibility for meeting a quota looks more realistic.

There were a lot of delays for Maverick customers due to production limits on certain options. Ford and their dealers tried convincing buyers to drop certain options to get their truck built quicker. A simple thing like ordering all weather mats could cause the build to be delayed. I was willing and able to wait because my truck was going to be a second vehicle.
True on my order also.

I had a Hard Drop-in Bedliner on the order and that was a late availability item.

So I dropped that from the order and got scheduled the next week.

After I got the Maverick the Hard Drop-in Bedliner was available in January 2022 and I used my Ford Points and got it for free.

I ordered my Maverick in the summer of 2021 and didn't get it until fall 2022. 13 months
Have you beat! I ordered my 2016 Focus RS in September 2015 and it was delivered December 2016. 15 months!
I Ordered my MY2022 Maverick Hybrid on 8/23/21. it was Scheduled on 9/16/21, Built on 11/29/21, Shipped 11/30/21 and Delivered 12/13/21.

That was less than 4 months from ordering to delivery.
I gotcha all beat. 480 days from order to delivery for my Maverick: 10/29/21 to 2/21/23. I’d given up and was looking at alternatives when I got my production email towards the end of ‘22. Hopefully Ford will be better prepared for the Fathom.

Here is something for Riley to consider carrying back to the home team. Take the first few hundred Fathoms and lease them for almost nothing to their employees at Kentucky, Michigan and California. That will prevent resale. That could happen 30-45 days before releasing to retail trade. Assume 3000 miles per vehicle leased for 500 trucks, and you have 1.5 million miles of real data to uncover any hardware or software problems and address them before selling the first retail vehicle. You also get a great deal of exposure for the vehicle in three different markets to gauge reactions and encourage orders with no expensive marketing. Not to mention building good will with your front line employees.
