What would folks think about a top that would "convert" the Fathom into a "cargo" vehicle?

The Slate will have an option (when I last looked at the Slate Forum) that will allow it to become a "cargo" vehicle with a covered bed. Somewhat like what was once called a sedan delivery. It is the SUV kit without the seats and roll bar/airbags. I'm not sure how it would work if the Fathom actually comes with a midgate, but it would certainly appeal to me. I would love to be able to put a 9' or 9'6" long surfboard inside a locked area. If the Fathom came as SUV, like is planned for the future, I would be all over it. I'm guessing that the SUV version won't be released for a few years and I am ready for an EV now.

If you don't have to go too far, I'd argue a used VW ID Buzz is a perfect match for a surfboard?

I'm biased because I'm old enough to have owned an original VW Bus 50+ years ago.
