Fathom Frunk Patent Images Revealed

Found these this morning on the US Patent website. Will the Fathom have s split frunk access like this?

The patent is more involved than just the split frunk access.

It has a mode that when a person requests to open the frunk remotely the truck may backup (if allowed to safely) to allow space in the front for better access.

The patent also shows the capability to have a television in the Frunk:

If the Fathom has this capability then it will also have power available in the frunk.

This image from the patent is very interesting as it clearly shows a truck that is all electric with a very steeply raked windshield. Much like the Fathom has. It also interesting that the patent picked a truck and not a SUV or car.

Lastly the hood looks very aero. The "V" in the figures:

If they provide power access that becomes a tailgate for cooking or setting up a cooler with a refrigerator unit.

One image looks like you can run a Kurig. Interesting they are using the split gate they put on the Expedition. Only question I have now is will Ford use two colors like they annoyingly do on said Expedition.

I think item V is just another generic vehicle. Ford is showing that if you want the frunk and the vehicle is parked too close to another vehicle, the Fathom will back itself up enough to allow access.

i tried to use the aerodynamic drawing to get a profile and Claude lacked the imaging skills. The aerodynamic sketch shows a slight swoop on the roof of the cab. We will see if your Grok drawing caught it or whether it is even there. I like what I see in your drawing.

Not too bad.

However the windshield should be more steeply raked.

Note that the Fathom windshield is more raked than the Maverick.

Also should have recessed door handles and no side badge.

Because extended door handles and the badge are bad for aero.

The door handles on the camo truck pictures were identified as fake as one shot showed the driver front handle not lining up with the passenger rear handle.

The drawings emphasize something I also noticed in the spy photos. The front edge of the windshield is right over the center line of the front wheels. Meaning it's as cab-forward as anything Chrysler ever did.

Since Ford's ProPower is stated as standard, regardless of whether Ford stays with the branding, I would be shocked if there isn't 120V service in the Frunk.
There's some things Ford did world class right out of the gate when they started "electrification", and the HV battery/liquid cooled inverter package was one of them. First showed up 6 years ago in the F150 Powerboost, which I personally believe was pilfered from the R&D of the soon to be released Lightning, the following year.
