Hey all, Riley here from Ford. I know a bunch of you have had money on Ranchero for a while now and I wasn't helping the matter, so let me just rip the bandage off: it's Ford Fathom™.
”Fathom" traces back to a nautical unit of measurement, originally defined as the distance between a person's outstretched arms, a fitting metaphor for a truck built to meet people wherever they are in life. Fitting, right?
Here's what I can give you, since you all have earned more than a teaser:
Now here's what we’re holding back, because honestly, a little mystery is fun:
Bed dimensions. Whether there's a second battery option beyond Standard Range, and what that gets you. What that surfboard-out-of-the-bed panel in the flipbook is… Colors.
You've been closer than you know on some of this. Have at it.

Here's what I can give you, since you all have earned more than a teaser:
- $28,350 starting MSRP (Standard Range battery, before destination/delivery and doc fees). Pre-orders open early 2027, deliveries later that year.
- BlueCruise comes standard on every single Fathom — hardware-ready for Ford's next-gen hands-free highway driving from day one.
- Bi-directional power. Yes, it's real. AC output, more details to come.
- Frunk — confirmed.
- Phone as a Key, and both CarPlay and Android Auto.
- More passenger space than a RAV4. This isn't stripped down to hit a price point — it's built smart from the platform up, which is a different thing entirely.
- Deep Apple Maps integration baked directly into the vehicle — not phone mirroring, actually embedded in the stack — and it's also what powers the next-gen BlueCruise on-ramp to off-ramp handling, that will also be available with Fathom.
