Hey all,

Some of you know me from Mach-E Forums, Bronco6G, and MavTruckClub. For those that don't, my name is Sean and I'm a sales manager at Serramonte Ford.

We had a pretty good plan in place for Bronco/Mach E/Maverick and we intend to run it similarly, whether that be a reservation system, or a traditional order system.

Our order pricing will be MSRP to start, with AXZD plans accepted for those that qualify. No ADM for ordered units!

As a Lightning and Mach E owner, I'll be ordering one for myself whenever I can.

Those that know me from other forums, know that I can be a great resource, so I'll be hanging around and answering questions when I can. Anything specific to your order with us or Serramonte Ford in general can be posted in this thread, or you can reach me at [email protected]!

Sean,

Thanks for the offer of no ADM !

Question:
Does your dealership add on dealer stuff like nitrogen air, door edge plastics, alarm, LoJack, fabric protection, paint protection, etc... ??

We offer some of those products, but do not require them.

Would the $3500 California rebate apply to out of state purchases?
Californians only.

https://www.gov.ca.gov/2026/08/07/g...ans-buying-their-first-zero-emission-vehicle/

Here’s what buyers need to know:

  • $3,500 off new zero-emission vehicles with an MSRP up to $50,000
  • $1,750 off used zero-emission vehicles sold for up to $25,000 through manufacturers’ pre-owned vehicle programs
  • The rebate is open to any Californian buying their first ZEV

I am not familiar with your plan, since I don't recall seeing a post from you on MaverickTruckClub (I am not on the others).

Since it appears Ford will manage the process similarly to how they managed the Ford Lightning:
  • Everyone submits a request to Ford to be added to a pre-order list.
  • When your name comes up on the pre-order list, you configure your order and tell Ford which dealership to send it to.
  • The dealership receives a list of orders from Ford, ordered by pre-order or order placement date (?).
    • How will Serramonte Ford determine priority?
    • Will Serramonte Ford require a deposit to establish priority? If so, have you already started this list? And if not, when will you begin creating this list? Is the deposit applied to your order?
    • How does Serramonte Ford manage retail priority codes?
  • Since Colma, CA is nearly 450 miles away from Orange County (California), how do you like to handle the purchase transaction and delivery?
    • I believe California law requires the vehicle to be physically present at the time of purchase.
      • Is this true? Can it be delivered to a local dealership for PDI/delivery while the transaction is handled digitally/remotely?
      • If not, is it possible to purchase it digitally/remotely and have it delivered by transport to my home (I am assuming at my expense)?
    • If the purchase transaction must be done in person at your dealership, will you pick someone up at a major airport (San Jose, San Fran, Oakland, etc.), so they can drive it back?
I am looking forward to the answers and learning more about how you work.

I was unaware that this has been confirmed. In fact, I think that I have heard that dealerships have heard what sounded like the procedure for ordering is the traditional procedure. (where you provide the dealership with your build choices, and they submit the order)

At the Ford Dealer Meeting, they told attendees that it would be similar to what they did on Lightning. There is a reason the form fill on Ford website says be one of the first to get one. We will probably find out for sure in early 2027 when they reveal the truck.

Good news!

If it was the way Lightning roll out was handled, then there is no "priority" list because the dealer is out of the loop in your order after you choose the dealer and place an order thru the Ford website. All the dealer gets is the deposit you placed and the order w/ options detail.

Lightning orders were filled/delivered depending on which state you are in (CARB or non), dealer allocation numbers, and which trim (if any) is available from the factory first.

So what happened in reality is that people got their orders NOT by reservation or order #, but a mix of above variables. It was NOT "first come first served".

My Lightning order was middle of the group, but got it during the first month of deliveries beating out all the XLT and Pro (base) trims. Later, the dealer got in all the orders over the months.

OTOH Mach E order was very different than the Lightning order process!
