As cool as that rendering is, and I WOULD be completely happy with it, there's something not quite Ford enough about that facia.
I know that the skunkworks team has been given a LOT of rope to not do it how Ford has always done it, but I don't know if that would include a completely un-Ford presentation.

Also, although a lot may have changed since the familiar skin suit covered image from earlier, I don't think the rendering is nearly honest enough with the portion circled. I think it should be softer?

Yeah, I'm really not sure where they got those vertical headlight structures from. The spy photos show lights more like a Ranger.

The vertical elements come from some drawings that appeared in a video ford released a while ago. The whole front end looks to be pulled from that. Here’s a close up of the drawing:

I really hope it doesn’t look like this rendering. It could just be the angles of the render, but this looks too much like a minivan with a bed.

Design exercise only, in my opinion.
You gotta let those talented folks stretch a little, to get their creative juices flowing.
And then later, bring things back to production reality.

thank you, will be interesting to see how close to actual specs can be estimated from the photos.

please also ask them to measure the distance between each set of lines so we can estimate the UEV pickup's width. from satellite view of the parking lot next to where google maps shows the address, it appears the spots are 9' wide but a real ground measurement would be more accurate.

if you know anyone with a Maverick, perhaps you could ask them to briefly park it in one of the spots and take photos from the same angles to get a visual comparison.

While I have great disdain for the fact that GM located the charging port at the rear of my Sierra Denali EV tow truck, I don't think I would be nearly as miffed with the same on this little Ranchero. For obvious reasons.

Still I do wish it was positioned similar to the Lightning/Mach-E. (Although I liked where the port was on my first ever EV Leaf, the best)

Best charge port location would have been front-right. Same orientation as Teslas but you pull in forward instead of backing in. Also solves the charging with a trailer problem.

While I won't be towing a 25' travel trailer behind a Fathom like I do my Lightning, even small trucks need to tow. I've seen a Model Y have to drop it's trailer with jet skis to charge because no one thought this application was important.

We don't know the bed size but I think Maverick-sized bed with a larger interior is the most likely. It will have a very useful frunk as well.

My worry is my Maverick accessories won't fit meaning I'd have to get them again....

All of the talk about the annoyance of dropping the trailer to charge. My question is won’t you block multiple stations pulling forward into the spot with a charger? Most EV chargers seem to have a similar layout as a parking lot, so pulling in forward with a trailer would block the aisle and/or be blocking access to the adjacent spots. The only ones I’ve used would have completely blocked the drive aisle is I pulled in with a trailer hooked up.

I will be very curious about interior size.. I know there has been several claims of "More interior passenger volume than a Rav 4" The Maverick is listed to have more interior passenger volume than a Rav 4 but they are very close. It will be interesting to see how the engineers at Ford are able to utilize the available space with all clues hinting to a smaller overall footprint than the Maverick
